Beyond Names: The Essence of Shamanic Wisdom
The shamanic traditions helped me see rituals not as performance, but as deep relationships with nature.

The shamanic traditions also helped me see rituals differently. What may appear as simple practices from the outside carry layers of symbolism, discipline and emotional connection for those who experience them. The sounds, movements, prayers and ceremonies create a space where the mind becomes still and the heart becomes open. Perhaps the greatest lesson I received was that spirituality is not about escaping the world, but about learning to see it with a deeper awareness. It is found in the quiet embrace of a tree, in the silence of the mountains, in the wisdom shared by an elder, and in the courage to face the emotions we often try to avoid. The shaman did not give me answers to every question; instead, he reminded me to listen to the whispers of nature, the memories of my ancestors, and the voice within myself. And sometimes, that willingness to listen is where the true journey of self-discovery begins.
4\) Beyond Names: Finding the Force That Connects Us All
I may not always define my beliefs through a particular name or form of God, but I deeply believe in a power that holds this universe together.A force that created the stars, the mountains, the rivers and the endless mystery of existence. Different cultures have given this power different names. Some call it God, some call it the Universe, some call it consciousness, energy or the divine. Perhaps the name is not the most important part. What matters is the feeling of connection, the understanding that we are part of something much greater than ourselves. For me, the ashram has become a place where I experience a deeper connection with myself and the greater force that surrounds us. It is not merely a physical space, but a sanctuary for reflection, learning and inner discovery. Away from the noise and distractions of everyday life, the ashram allows one to slow down, observe and reconnect with the deeper self. The teachers and masters become guiding forces not by simply providing answers, but by helping us discover the wisdom that already exists within us. They encourage us to look inward, to question, to learn, and to continue growing on our own journey of awareness and understanding.
Perhaps, the true purpose of such spaces is not to make us believe blindly, but to help us experience life with greater awareness and compassion. In the silence of an ashram, surrounded by teachings, rituals and the presence of those walking the path before us,
I find a sense of belonging a reminder that the journey of understanding the universe is also a journey of understanding ourselves.Because ultimately, the search for the power that created everything may lead us to the most important discovery:
“The connection between the universe outside and the universe within.”
